As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of vessel, port, and cargo operations—ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability every single day. From supervising vessel productivity and equipment availability to coordinating with port authorities and overseeing timely deliveries, you’ll play a critical role in making sure 2GO operations run like clockwork.
Your Mission 🎯
Vessel & Port Operations
- Ensure berth availability for timely vessel arrivals and departures.
- Coordinate with vessel masters to address operational constraints affecting productivity, safety, and cost.
- Supervise proper unloading and loading of cargoes to and from vessels.
- Oversee passenger embarkation and disembarkation, ensuring safe handling and assistance for priority passengers (SCs, PWDs, minors, VIPs, etc.).
Equipment & Maintenance
- Guarantee availability of Container Handling Equipment (CHEs), Yard Trucks (YTs), and admin equipment.
- Monitor and enforce proper Repair & Maintenance procedures for CHEs, YTs, and admin equipment.
- Ensure effective implementation of CYM (Container Yard Management) and YTMG (Yard Truck Management) programs.
Cargo & Documentation
- Oversee scanning of containers and chassis from/to vessel and CY.
- Ensure timely updating of vessel ATA & ATD in Poseidon Voyces module.
- Guarantee accurate and timely submission of all operational reports.
Delivery & Trucking
- Ensure sufficient availability of truckers for daily delivery requirements.
- Supervise efficient dispatching and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor trucker performance KPIs and coordinate with Procurement for timely contract renewals.
Cash Handling & Compliance
- Oversee daily remittance of collections, ensuring compliance with cash handling policies (validated reports, spot checks, timely deposits).
- Supervise FDT daily transactions for branches without an FDT Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with OSH, security, and operational standards.
People & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to drive performance and accountability.
- Ensure readiness and execution of Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness programs.
- Participate in annual budget preparation and support cost management initiatives.
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You 🔍
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Bring at least 3–5 years of experience in operations management within shipping, logistics, or port services.
- Have strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing large and diverse teams.
- Possess excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities (ports, government agencies, service providers).
- Are proficient in operations systems and reporting tools (e.g., Poseidon Voyces, MS Office).
- Understand OSH standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
