The Mind Rover Brings STEAM Learning to Philippine Islands through 2GO Partnership

Manila, Philippines, 26 November 2024 – The Mind Museum has joined forces with 2GO, a leading logistics solutions provider, to bring Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) education to children across the Philippines through the innovative Mind Rover project.

At the heart of this collaboration is The Mind Rover—a custom-built, 12-meter-long mobile museum bus packed with interactive exhibits, engaging workshops, and captivating science shows led by The Mind Museum’s dynamic team of Mind Movers. This initiative aims to deliver inspiring learning experiences to communities across the archipelago, one island at a time.

The partnership kicked off its first leg in Bacolod, with the Mind Rover’s services offered completely free of charge to the communities it visits. This is made possible through the support of 2GO and The Mind Museum’s other partners, who share a commitment to advancing art and science for the benefit of Filipino communities.

“We are so thrilled to partner with 2GO for The Mind Rover. The 2GO team has been exceptional in its authenticity and readiness to support inspired science and art learning that it was like fireworks when we set out to agree to do this together. We are very grateful to the 2GO Group for this partnership which would impact many communities,” said Maria Isabel Garcia, Managing Director and Curator of The Mind Museum.

The Mind Rover exemplifies The Mind Museum’s mission to extend its reach beyond its BGC-based science museum, promoting inspired learning for Filipinos across the country. The museum operates under the Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc., which also oversees the BGC Arts Center, championing both art and science as pillars of community and national growth.

2GO shares this vision of connection and enrichment. “At 2GO, we are driven by the belief that our islands are connected by water, not separated by it. We transport people and goods across the national waters that define our archipelago. Partnering with The Mind Museum to bring the Mind Rover to provinces across the Philippines—one island at a time—represents our shared passion in inspiring and enriching the minds of our youth,” said Ethel Concepcion, 2GO Group Head of Corporate Marketing.

With operations spanning 19 ports across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, 2GO plays a critical role in moving goods and passengers across the country. Its customizable logistics solutions and enhanced sea travel services not only contribute to economic growth but also connect communities in meaningful ways.

This collaboration between The Mind Museum’s “wonder bus” and 2GO’s logistics expertise underscores the power of partnerships in delivering transformative experiences to Filipino youth. Together, they are paving the way for a future where science, art, and education reach even the most remote corners of the Philippines.
